Wen Boley – CEO Wen Boley has many years experience in the oil and gas industry and as an entrepreneur, leveraging his creative backgrounad combined with his relationship, problem solving, and negotiating skills honed through a diversified portfolio of business ventures. Wen is the founder and CEO of Golden Eagle/Blue Phoenix and as such has helped to pioneer the new technology to precisely locate a gas and oil signatures to depths of 20,000’. He is the architect of a unique business model that sets his companies apart from the rest of the oil and gas industry while honoring his investors as his top priority, dramatically reducing the risk normally associated with an oil and natural gas investment. Wen's leadership, creative business strategies, win-win business philosophies, strong business relationship management, relentless persistence, and ability to raise capital have brought him to the forefront of the evolving cooperative business community. Kelly Fasterling – President Kelly’s expertise is in full tactical operations and technology management with extensive experience balancing day-to-day operations with long-term strategic technology plans. She has expertise in complete project operations, creation and execution of critical business processes, along with a proven record in team leadership, project planning, and business process analysis and redesign. Currently as President of Golden Eagle/Blue Phoenix, she has responsibility for the internal operations of the business including investor management, legal and financial operations, and project oversight. In past business opportunities, Kelly has been responsible for defining and managing operations to grow the business segment by 600%, improving team productivity by 15% while leading teams of 100+ people. Drawing on her extraordinary communication skills with partners, investors and customers coupled with mentoring the personal and professional development of her staff, Kelly keeps operations running smoothly and with excellence. She hails from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems.
Rick Caruthers – COO Rick Caruthers is the Chief Operating Officer of Golden Eagle Alliance/Blue Phoenix Oil. With his deep experience in engineering and design, well analysis and supervision, drilling and operating, workover and completion, and oil/gas/SWD facility construction, Rick has the responsibility for field operations. He has been Director of Operations for several companies over his 30+ year career, including a tenure with Conoco Phillips, Devon, XTO, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Williams, Union, Arco, and Tex Oil. After he established Caruthers Consulting in 1995, Rick and his team designed, developed, drilled, completed, and constructed enumerable fields and production facilities throughout the mid-continent region of the United States with remarkable success. The team was responsible for multi-state properties consisting of more than a thousand wells in Southern Oklahoma alone. At any one time, they managed and operated 3,000 wells in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, Utah and Arizona. Rick's ability to combine such a vast knowledge of the oil and gas industry with his technical business expertise enables Rick to achieve remarkable results with both small and large projects. Rick is very proud of his performance record and has developed solid relationships with many state and government regulatory agencies, along with many Tribal Native American Sovereign Nations Regulators. As a consultant he has assisted in establishing many environmental rules for the industry working with state regulators trying to help make new regulations industry friendly but also environmentally conscious. He has a sound and established track record, maintaining the goal to not just produce a product, but also to help return our country to an independent energy source and stop the strong reliance on foreign resources.
Frank Herring – CFO Frank has a total of 35 years of senior financial management background experience in oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, freight service delivery, financial services, software development and support, agriculture, retail and wholesale industries. He has consulted with small and medium sized businesses in planning, budgeting, cash projections, organization, analysis, problem solving, modeling, and developing and implementing financial systems that have provided management with operating data reports that improve companies operations and net profits. He is a graduate from Colorado State University majoring in accounting and is a CPA. Ten years of his experience has been in international settings overseas in Africa, various European countries, and China. As CFO and member of the GEA board of advisors, Frank is responsible for creating, maintaining, managing, and presenting financial projections and budgets. His skill in analyzing cash flow and determining the proper course of action based on his financial experience is a great asset to Golden Eagle/Blue Phoenix.
Keith Lennon – GEA Financial Consultant Keith Lennon is a highly skilled financial professional with extensive experience with multinational and domestic oil and gas companies. He led the financial planning process for a large oil and gas company, including annual operating and capital budgets in excess of $60 million. His oil and gas experience includes exploration, production, pipeline, refining, and marketing. His focus has been in corporate finance and treasury, financial reporting, risk management, and M&A / reorganizations combined with superior analytical and problem solving skills and management team building in high-pressure environments. Keith has had direct supervision of staffs of up to 200 and is also highly skilled in the budgeting process and financial forecasting. Keith provides clients with the expertise in Corporate Finance / Treasury, financial analysis and advanced financial modeling, ad hoc management reporting, treasury functions, and the issuance of accurate financial statements.
Tom Kimmell – Legal Counsel With a Columbia Law Degree (receiving honors for being in the top 10% of his class) and Harvard Undergraduate Degree, Tom practices law in his own firm, Zarlengo & Kimmell, PC. Tom’s practice includes litigation, natural resources, employment, business organization, and real estate matters. Tom previously specialized in oil and gas law and commercial litigation, with additional history drafting oil and gas title opinions and litigating and practicing in water and environmental law. In September of 1983 Tom published "Oil and Gas Leasing on Federal Lands: The Application of State and Local Laws" in The Colorado Lawyer. Tom’s extensive background allows him to create our business agreements, advice us on business structures, while also performing legal due diligence on our various lease opportunities.
Jody Walker – SEC Attorney Jody has over twenty four years experience in securities and corporate law. She has been in private practice since 1989. The focus of her securities practice is primarily on public and private offerings with debt and equity securities, blue sky filings and corresponding corporate matters. Her practice also includes corporate taxation, general corporate laws, and mergers and acquisitions. Jody earned her Bachelor of Individualized Studies degree from the University of Minnesota in 1982, majoring in international business, French, and government. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1985. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado since May 1986. Diane Olivieri – Accountant Diane has her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and is a graduate from DePaul University with an Accounting Degree. In 1995 Diane founded Olivieri Accounting Services and has assisted small to mid-sized for-profit and non-profit entities in the Colorado Springs area specializing in financial statement presentation, internal controls and accounting systems. Previous to starting her own business, Diane worked for Corporate America as their account manager, Arthur Andersen & Co, and various other mid-sized companies as their CFO. Diane’s detail orientation and commitment to accuracy makes her the perfect accountant for our business.
Dan Hall – Energy Operating Company Dan brings thirty-one years of diverse professional experience in the petroleum industry, including drilling, production, and reservoir engineering. Has done work in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, New Mexico, Montana, Utah, Nevada and Kansas. In 1990 Dan founded Energy Operating Company, Inc. which specializes in oil and gas operations and property evaluation. His team of highly experienced professionals provides a wide array of services pertinent to the successful oil and gas operations. Dan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He came recommended to Golden Eagle through multiple sources. His extensive knowledge of drilling and operating in challenging areas, as well as his high level of integrity make him a perfect fit as our project manager of our Western prospects.
